Part of the C&S Drainage + Civil Group

Aboriginal-owned civil capability, on Country across Western Australia.

Acknowledgement of Country

Tjawala acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we live and work, and pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging.

Our story

Built for real participation

Tjawala is an experienced drainage company serving the West Australian construction industry — and the Aboriginal-owned arm of the C&S Drainage + Civil group, delivering specialised works in metro and remote WA.

Tjawala was founded by Shauna Tullock, a proud Yamatji (Naaguja/Wadjarri), Martu (Tjupan) and Wongatha (Ngurlutjarra) woman from the Northern Goldfields and Midwest regions of Western Australia. Shauna began her career in mining on her Tjiwarl Parna (Country) at Leinster, and in her first year of full-time employment was nominated for BHP Indigenous Trainee/Apprentice of the Year.

Through Tjawala, Shauna is driving growth, employment and training opportunities for Aboriginal people — representing her community and culture while delivering real capability to the resources and infrastructure sectors.

And Tjawala doesn’t stand alone. Behind it is the full capability of the C&S Drainage + Civil group: experienced crews, modern plant and systems proven on drainage and civil projects across the state.

“Through Tjawala, I aim to represent my community, contribute meaningfully to the industry, and help provide others with the same pathways and support I received when I started my journey.”
